Jamie's Italian by Jamie Oliver~*

Jamie's Italian Restaurant by Jamie Oliver, the British celebrity chef.

My first time to come across with this restaurant after so many years travelling to Singapore. Guess that i really need to keep myself update on what is famous in SG from now on.

One of their branches is located at Orchard Rd. It is just a short walking distance from Grand Hyatt Hotel SG.

Lucky that we have made a reservation earlier or else it is going to take a while to be seated.

I like the open concept kitchen setting and it is really good for the customers to have chance to have some interactions with the chefs.

Certainly need no picture to support their menu since these are all specially from Jamie's recipes.

Italian Nachos $8.75

Crispy fried ravioli stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta & Parmesan, served with spicy Sicilian tomato sauce. I personally think that this was just OK. I am still the classic nachos person ;)

20160505_205523

Baked Mushroom $14.50

With crispy music bread, smoked mozzarella & thyme. Nice, I like the wild mushroom taste and thyme work perfectly here.

20160505_205505

Italian steak & fries $32.00

Flash-grilled rump steak, Italian-spiced skinny fries & rainbow slaw. I LOVE THE FRIES! Best of all! Steak was so so. I still can't get over the steak i had in Osaka so it could be an unfair comment from me. But anyhow, there are places where serve even better steak with this price. Again, for me , the skinny fries could have easily taking over the steak.

Hot Chocolate Mud Cake

I was a bit disappointed as the chocolate mud cake should be serve hot. Probably due to the high traffic of the night so they don't get to spend much time in each of the order.

20160505_214558

Drink of the night- Bond's Vesper Dry Martini $18.00

Gin and Vodka garnished with lemon peel and shaken, not stirred, -named after 007's one true love.

There are also some merchandise products selling in the restaurant.

Back to the people working there. He has a big bright charming smile!!!

20160505_204809

and FUNNY!

Overall service is good despite the high traffic of the Thursday night.

FUZIO Bar & Restaurant~*

Another great dinner.

Another hidden gems in the busy city. Fuzio Bar & Ristorante

If you're looking for ambience of a traditional Italian restaurant with a cozy feel for the date, you may try this out.

They are offering the wine promotion now. 3 glasses of different red will be served before meal. You may follow their recommendation of following the 3 steps drinking.

20160419_211739

Some breads and bread sticks as appetizer.

20160419_211641

The signature Fuzio Antipasti For 2 as starter. I like how their selection for this starter. The portion of the variety is just nice to kick start the topic of the night.

20160419_212742

Their Pumpkin Soup is another good choice for the starter. I like the thickness of the soup. It is creamy and so velvetly-smooth. The taste of the pumpkin go so well with the crispy duck bacon and croutons in it. Luvit!

20160419_215358

Baked Cod Fish as the main course.

This is the one that guarantee my return for this restaurant.

I like how well they bake this delicate textured fish. The smoothness of each flakes just perfectly melt in the mouth. Teriyaki sauce is the secret agent in this dish. This sweet sauce finely blend in both sweetness of the sauce and the cod fish.

I will return for this.

2016~~*

I kicked start my 2016 beautifully!

First, i would like to say a big THANK YOU to all my lovely family members and friends for being with me and walking through the ups and downs without any hesistation. You and I has no other word than ILUVYOU!!! Thanksss darlings!!

I want something to be mark on my 2016 and so i took a big step out from my comfort zone. From work to my personal life, i need to be more independent and stronger.

My working life is exactly what i have been dreamt of since young.  My ambition was to be a heart surgeon and travel around the world while rescuing the unfortunates, but i am now in a totally different field from my study and i am enjoying my current occupation and still i am able to travel around the world as i wished. This year, i stepped out and started something new in my working life. One thing that i have to keep on reminding myself: Result is just the procedure, experience is what i earned!

Living alone is not an issue. However, having meal and doing things like grocery shopping and sitting alone without a companion is kinda tough for me as i just dont like to do things alone. I stay in and munch on biscuits most of the time when the meal companions are all busy with their work. Sometimes, the imaginary 60 years old lady munching on the Julie's alone in the living room do make me worry. Well, follow the flow.

Friends are precious. Enemies are scary. The terrifying reality makes me think twice. There are times that i see things from the eyes which immediately turned down my trust towards the individual. Stepping out from the innocent age groups is a new challenge for me to kick start the work alone on earth. The little notes that stayed in my heart have been doing a great job for reminding me all the time to appreciate people around me while i can.

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life"-Coco Chanel. Let's see how is my 2016 going to be! ;)

Living in SG~*

I'm currently residing in SG.

Taking up a big step responding to my spontaneous thought of moving to SG is never easy especially when the currency is so week in MYR.

It's almost a month staying in SG and yet still hunting for job and choosing from the best offer.

There're questions like how do you find SG and so on..

I like SG. One thing that I am not get used to is that I am now living without a car. Typical Malaysian I am.  Seriously , I am still not get use to it. Moving from one place to another is gonna take up at least an hour.

walk->mrt->walk->bus->walk ....

Welcome to the SG life . Healthy life I would say! ;)

GOSH... I still think I need a car for now... LOL...

My job hunting progressing well so far. The only problem that I am facing is that I am yet to receive my degree cert and that's the biggest obstacles in job application as a education qualification is a priority in SG. Without a cert, it's hard to get E-pass and hard to ask for salary which is more than SGD 3k...

SAD CASE for me...

I am still in the middle of my thesis...

Hopefully get it done by Dec...

Talking about my life in SG...

Basically is all about food, thesis, interview and repeating...

Since my lil bro is working in SG, the lil one always bring me here and there for food... and he is like convincing me that there are actually some nice food in SG...

Since I always complaint about the food in SG all this while...

Well yes, honestly, there are some nice food here in SG. It's just the matter of spending more. And! I just cant get rid of the 'currency conversion mindset' . Spending in SG with MYR earnings is a huge pain!

Getting back to my job search. Bonne nuit!

Rakuichi , Dempsey Hill, SG~*

Realized that I have been neglecting my blog again...

It was a great dinner yesterday night @ Rakuichi, Dempsey Hill, Singapore.

Not forget to mention, companion of the night was totally a joker and I had a good laugh too. LOL.

I think I am just going to dump in photos of the menu as I think that it is needless to describe how heavenly taste were the foods... and I just.... omg.. can I go back to the restaurant again tomorrow? ..

I MISS THEIR FOOD NOW!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered a set of mini course. Satisfaction overload with the taste and the portion! *excuse the photos qualities*
