Eat like the local in Bangkok -JCtravel 2016~*

The lil one back for good for one whole month.

Immediately, need not to think twice, head to skyscanner.com and quickly secured 2 good seats for Bangkok.

Well , this trip is just for the sake to getaway from Malaysia. So there will be not much attraction spots but quite some good food XD..

We took an afternoon flight.

Touched down BKK at around 4pm and we took quite a long journey back to our hotel as the traffic was bad in the city.

Reached hotel at 7pm and it was raining. We settled our first dinner at Subway and yessss the never miss out Thai 7Eleven junks!

Hotel of the night: @Mind Executive Suite

This hotel is always one of my returned choice which fit my 3C: Cheap, Convenient, Comfy.

Next day- RAINY DAY.

Walked around the Central Plaza. I SUPER REGRET I DIDN'T BUY THE SUPER YENG SPORTBRA there... EMO... *this concluded that not everything is selling in Chatuchak coz I can't find any of them there*

OK,LUNCH TIME. Honestly, now think back, this trip seems like a makan trip more.

This is a must try place as this is a famous lunch place among the locals.

Pranam 9 Kai Yang served the greatest grilled chicken in Bangkok. It was founded by Mr. Sumate Torsahakul, who was in the field of real estate entrepreneur and construction business, however, his business was closed after the Asian financial crisis in 1997. He loves to cook and there goes the famous Pranam 9 Kai Yang today.

This place is huge which I think can cater to approx. 1000 pax.

Looking at the menu, we ordered like they are going to serve us free food. We just point to any photo that looks good until the waitress actually gave us a gentle reminder that we weren't came in group but just 2 lol!

Kai Yang means grilled chicken in Thai. So this is a MUST try here.

Grilled Chicken.

20161027_133637

I always go for fresh spring roll whenever I spot it in the menu. I LIKE THIS! The sauce has generous amount of peanuts!

20161027_142823

Ice Kacang. This probably a skip here. Taste bit like cough syrup.

20161027_142834

After the good lunch, we headed to the Train Night Market Ratchada also known as Talad Nud Rod Fai which is just minutes away. It is located right behind Esplanade Cineplex on the busy Ratchadapisek Road. This place is similar to the train night market in Srinakarin.

NEXT DAY: RAIN. AGAIN.

uri_mr1477631426027

Good enough that the rain stop after the morning. We just take our own sweet time chilled at the hotel until the rain stop. Then, head for lunch.

ANOTHER MUST TRY LUNCH PLACE.

P' Aor, Soi Petchaburi

Address: 68/51 Soi Petchaburi 5, Between Soi 5 – 7, Bangkok
Contact: +66 2612 9013
Operating Hour: 10am – 10pm daily(close on Monday)

20161028_130241

We took BTS to Phaya Thai, followed the map by walking through a few small alley. I was walking together with the lil one or else it is not recommended to be walking alone around these small valleys.

20161028_130432

I am sure that you wouldn't have a problem to find the shop once you reached that area. There is a huge sticker of the lady owner in front of the shop which can be easily spotted.

Going into the shop make me felt like I was in Penang. Look left, look right, look front , look back.. all speak Penang Hokkien!... Except the table with the few hunks were from Kuala Lumpur. Overall, all Malaysians.

20161028_131220

The lil one brought me here.

He told me that if we don't eat this as if like the tourist never eat Char Kuey Teow in Penang.

It was very crowded.  While waiting for our lobster, lil one went to the next shop to get some chicken. We had a very good starter!!! Get some when you are waiting for your dish to be serve too!

20161028_131906

BACK TO P'AOR.

They offering 3 sizes of lobsters, the big costs 1200 baht (about RM136), medium 899 baht (about RM102) and small 699 baht (about RM80).

20161028_135750

We ordered the M size.

20161028_132702

Bigger than my palm. My palm is not jokingly huge.

20161028_132849

This dish of lobster TomYam comes with glass noodles, 2 stuffed crabs, 1 big stuffed squid, 2 mussels, 1 piece of salmon and 1 whole poached egg.

The lobster was cooked in oyster mushroom soup to enhance the its flavor. Due to its size, they required at least 20 minutes to be well cooked.

20161028_132748

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DONT ASK ABOUT THE TASTE ANYMORE JUST GO AND TRY! YOU WONT REGRET :)

20161028_132941

Took an Uber to our next destination. In Bangkok, if travelling around with 2 pax or above , do not hesitate to just call an Uber . Cheaper and most important need not to be sweat or suffering yourself from one hand take an umbrella and the other hand take an camera and then left no hand to take food... ;)

Our next stop: PLATINUM MALL. This place is to shop for our clothes for the next few days.

Basically we brought only 2 pairs of outfits in a huge luggage bag each and we were so prepared for the shopping spree here.

Platinum Mall is a place where you definitely need a good reflexology session after.

MB MASSAGE.

We actually walked along the whole street and look for one which has the most customers.

20161028_183325

goMeirongTemp_mr1477655444183

They have special promotion for foot massage (60 minutes) at only 200 baht before 7pm. We managed to get the good deal on time.

RAINING AGAIN.

Good to rain while we are having our self pampering session. So good to take a nap zzzz...

Alright, dinner time.

We Uber to Mahboonkrong (MBK Shopping Centre).

Bangkok's legendary MBK has two food courts: Fifth Food Avenue on the fifth floor, and the more frenetic MBK Food Centre on the sixth.

I prefer the one on the sixth.

Bought the ticket at the counter and start hunting for food.

I wanted to order the Kueh Chap but it went out of order jor.. so I just order the Squid Ball Kuey Teow.

20161028_202803

Pork Noodle.

20161028_202814

Famous Braised Pork Leg Rice.

20161028_203641

Fried Oyster.

20161028_202807

Mango Sticky Rice.

20161028_203924

These are all the orders I usually made whenever I dine there.

The night was beautifully ended by my personal hair show session =D

20161028_230113

I seriously have a thought of selling hair extensions as my side business now. I LOVE HAIR EXTENSIONS TO MAX!

uri_mr1477671632345

NEXT DAY- WAS SUNNY...... and RAIN again.

20161029_121939

Checked out from the hotel and we gonna bring along our half empty luggage bags to Chatuchak Weekend Market.

I didn't take any photo during our Chatuchak session as I was busy pulling luggage bag on my left hand and busy buying things with my right hand XD..

We got ourselves a not so good foot massage (250 baht/60minutes)  in one of the massage shop  after all the walk.

Then we continue walked to the ArtBox.

20161029_190646

Artbox Bangkok is a cool new pop-up market with a difference: the stalls (not all of them) are housed in giant metal shipping containers which can be moved around the city.

This beverage photo is like a trend. So we bought and tried. mmm... just a trend I would say.

20161029_185229

20161029_185244

Done the night market walk. Head back to our next hotel for check-in.

We have an early flight at 7am so we checked in to the hotel which has a linked bridge to the Dong Mueng Airport. SUPER CONVENIENT and we can save some good sleeping hours too before depart.

Amari Dong Mueng Airport Hotel

20161029_202240

Seems like really a good choice for travelers who have early morning flight. We took quite some time for the check in as they really have a lot of reservations.

Bye to Hair Loss- Premier Stem Cell Hair Treatment~*

20161002_124340-1

I visited Premier Clinic.

Premier Clinic is an aesthetic clinic with branches strategically located in Bangsar Baru and Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. Licensed by the Malaysia Ministry of Health.

The very first walk in created a very comfortable feeling and that is a very important credit for me to choose a  beauty clinic.

Dr. Chen Tai Ho is one of the aesthetic doctor credentialed by the Malaysia Ministry of Health.

20161002_125754

Reassure your beauty from top to toe with Dr. Chen. Check out his blog HERE.

20161002_130613

This post is specially for those who have been looking for a reliable solution for their hair loss issue.

Too much complains about the hair treatments services offering in the market is not effective.

Let's check out the newly launch Stem Cell Hair Treatment from Premier Clinic. The following content showing the actual process of the treatment.

20161002_133652

1. The aesthetic doctor will have a thorough examination of your scalp using a hair microscope to check your hair follicles. Then a small portion of your hair will be remove for the harvest process.

20161002_134049

20161002_134741

2.Anesthesia is used so you will have a comfortable experience all the way.

20161002_135154

20161002_135208

3. The doctor will gently and painlessly harvests healthy hair follicles in a 2mm area (1 graft unit) from your scalp without bleeding or discomfort.

The follicle.

20161002_140500

20161002_140328

4. The hair follicles are then placed into a high tech machine to filter and harvest concentrated stem cells.

20161002_141601

20161002_141554

5.The processed stem cells are then injected into balding areas with the finest needles to minimise discomfort.

He doesn't show any discomfort at all throughout the whole process and yet still able to make jokes. According to the doctor, you will see improvements on the thickness
and density of your existing hair. There is visible growth of new hair follicles even on the first month itself and there are improvements even with only 1 treatment session.

Besides, there is minimal to no side effects as the stem cells used are from your own body with zero compatibility issues. There is usually no pain, swelling, bleeding, scarring or other problems. You may just need to avoid swimming for the next 3 days since there are injections involved in the treatment in order to prevent any infection.

1 session is priced at RM7999 for 1 graft unit and it take about an hour time to be done.

Lost conscious..

It just happened again.

This is not cool. I am serious.

There are times that I lost conscious. But, this time my butt super pain... T.T

As I remembered, I was checking up my phone in the living room. I was squatting down.

Then, stood up and walking towards washroom..

" blank "...

I do not know what had happened..

I m "back to the world" realising that my back super pain.. and I was lying down in front of my main door  ( beside the washroom)..

I felt like there are millions of ants rushing up on my body... (I know that's the bloodrush) ..

And..

My tailbone and my butt super pain...

Bakar, Bangsar- The BIG Group~*

BAKAR is a place where featuring modern BBQ dishes designed by Keith Choong from Hit n Mrs.

bakar

The interior of Bakar is spartan and minimalistic.

20161007_211107

P1600584

Flipping through the menu, first thing popped out in my minds was the penang street foods- Ikan Bakar, Jagung Bakar, Lembing Bakar, etc...

I love Jagung Bakar (Grilled Sweet Corn). The very first time I tried Jagung Bakar was at Batu Ferrighi , Penang.

There are some small street food stalls operated by the locals. A simple small stall with just a simple grilled machine , or some even still using the traditional way of grill with only charcoal and steel net ,  can always have long queue.

Since I always settle my cravings for the grill by the street. Let me try this and let's see what is the different when these foods are being serve finely on the table.

20161007_215206

US Asparagus

So far, I haven't come across any street stall selling grilled asparagus yet . The aroma of the asparagus strongly enhanced by the grilling method and it goes perfectly fine with the Romesco sauce.  Simple and I like.

20161007_213418

Grilled Sweet Corn

Personally, I prefer the grilled sweet corn @ Batu Ferrighi. Guess its the type of salt and butter they use that make the total different taste of the sweet corn. I prefer to feel the salt when chewing the sweet corn. For me, the salt size does matter.

20161007_214632

Spring Chicken

The chicken was not bad.

20161007_214915

Dorper Lamb Ribs
*MUST TRY*

This dish definitely set an impression for me.  I am not a fans of lamb meat due to the 'sheepy' taste.but this was my favorite dish for the night.  The fairly distribution of the marbling on the shoulder cut perform the perfect juiciness and it literally melted in the mouth. The best contribution for my guiltiness of the night.

20161007_214444

Grilled Fish
I am a super picky fish eater. I have tried quite a number of better ikan bakar with fair price so I will leave this for you to judge yourself;)

20161007_223713

Charcoal Pavlova

This desert appeared on every table. I put the blame on the Dorper Lamb Ribs because that is the only one that strikes my appetite that night and left no space for others eventhough i am a dessert lover.

20161007_223802

At least, I tried. ;)

In conclusion, personally i think that if you really don't mind of squatting sitting beside the street for the sake of good food even if you have to covered with sweat, there are really some good stalls around gonna satisfied your cravings. But, if you're looking for a good place to chill and enjoy your food without any hassle, Bakar it is.
